Kia Syros EV: the highly anticipated smallest electric SUV from Kia is set to arrive in India with an expected launch on July 23, 2026. This will be Kia’s first mass-market EV, priced between Rs 14 lakh for the entry variant and Rs 18 lakh for the top-end model. Deliveries are expected shortly after the official price announcement in August.
The Syros EV is likely to offer two battery pack options: a 42kWh unit delivering around 390-420km range, and a larger 51.4kWh pack offering up to 520km on a single charge. This longer range could give the Syros EV a clear edge over rivals like the Tata Nexon EV. The EV version will share most of its design with the ICE-powered Syros, but gets a closed-off grille, aerodynamic alloy wheels, revised bumpers, and a front-mounted charging port.
Inside, the Kia Syros EV is expected to feature a panoramic sunroof, dual 12.3-inch displays, ventilated front seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree camera, and premium audio. It may also support DC fast charging, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) functions. Whether it gets Level 2 ADAS remains unconfirmed.
The new Kia Syros EV will compete directly with the Tata Nexon EV, MG Windsor EV, and Mahindra XUV 3XO. If you’re shopping for an electric SUV between Rs 14-18 lakh, waiting for the Syros EV could be wise. With segment-leading range, premium features, and Kia’s strong warranty package, it promises to be a compelling option in the growing EV market.
