Kia Syros: Rs 13.5 Lakh EV With 526km Range has been launched in India, marking a significant milestone for the automaker. Starting at Rs 13.50 lakh, this electric SUV becomes Kia’s most affordable EV in the country. The company is also introducing a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program, allowing customers to buy the vehicle chassis for Rs 7.99 lakh and pay a transparent battery rental charge of Rs 3.3 per kilometer. This dual-loan model offers flexible financing and positions the Syros EV as a strong competitor to the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV 3XO EV.
The Kia Syros EV comes with two battery options: a 42kWh pack delivering 443km range and a 51.4kWh pack offering 526km range, making it the first in its segment to cross the 500km mark. The 51.4kWh variant also produces 171PS, accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.1 seconds. DC fast charging from 10-80% takes just 39 minutes using a 100kW charger, supported by a Battery Conditioning system. The vehicle also features a 10.8kW onboard AC charger and is built on Kia’s K1 platform.
Kia is offering a Lifetime High Voltage Battery Warranty, with 15 years and unlimited kilometers, along with an Assured Buyback program that provides up to 80% resale value after three years. Customers can choose 3 or 4-year tenures with flexible mileage options, and at the end, they can retain, return, or replace the vehicle. A comprehensive My Convenience e-Plus package is also available in 4-year Premium and 5-year Luxury tiers, covering scheduled maintenance, extended warranty, and roadside assistance.
Key features include a first-in-segment 30-inch Trinity Panoramic Display, Kia Connect 2.0 with 95+ features, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a Harman Kardon 8-speaker sound system. Safety is prioritized with six airbags, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and electronic stability control. The Syros EV also offers exclusive technologies like paddle shifters for regenerative braking with i-Pedal, Vehicle-to-Load, and a Virtual Engine Sound System.
