Hero Vida VX2 Plus: Bigger Battery, Longer Ride. Hero MotoCorp has expanded its Vida VX2 electric scooter lineup with a new VX2 Plus 4.4kWh variant, priced at Rs 1,50,990 ex-showroom. This model offers a significantly improved range, making it a compelling option for daily commuters.
The new Hero Vida VX2 Plus features a larger 4.4kWh battery pack, comprising two removable 2.2kWh batteries. Paired with a 6kW electric motor, it delivers a claimed IDC range of up to 187 km and a top speed of 90 km/h. In comparison, the standard VX2 Plus with a 3.4kWh battery offers a range of 146 km and costs Rs 1,30,990, making the new variant nearly Rs 20,000 pricier.
Charging for the Hero Vida VX2 Plus is versatile. The supplied 1kW portable charger fills the battery from 0 to 80% in 3 hours 17 minutes, with a full charge taking 5 hours 8 minutes. With a DC fast charger, the same 0 to 80% charge takes just 65 minutes, while a full charge requires about 2 hours 30 minutes. The 3.4kWh variant includes a 580kW charger, but the 4.4kWh model’s fast-charging capability adds convenience.
The design and features remain unchanged from the standard model. The Hero Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh retains a 4.3-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, OTA updates, navigation, and LED lighting. It also offers four riding modes: Eco, Ride, Sport, and Boost.
In conclusion, the Hero Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh variant addresses range anxiety with its larger battery, making it suitable for longer rides. It will be available across authorized dealerships by the end of this month, offering a practical upgrade for electric scooter enthusiasts.
