Kia Syros EV: 520km Range, Lifetime Battery Warranty Unveiled. Kia India is set to introduce the Syros EV, its smallest and most affordable electric SUV, in the last week of July, with a market launch scheduled for August 2026. This subcompact electric SUV will compete directly with the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV 3XO EV. Based on the K1 platform, the Syros EV is a conversion from an ICE model, receiving specific EV updates inside and out.
The Kia Syros EV is expected to share its 42kWh and 51.4kWh battery packs with the Kia Carens Clavis EV. It promises an impressive claimed range of up to 443km with the smaller battery and up to 520km with the 51.4kWh pack, making it one of the longest-range options in its segment. Due to its smaller size and lighter weight, the Syros EV offers a longer driving range than the Carens Clavis EV, which delivers 404km and 490km respectively.
To enhance ownership, the Kia Syros EV will likely feature a class-leading 15-year or lifetime battery warranty. It also comes with a standard 3-year warranty, extendable up to 7 years or 1.6 lakh kilometers. A buyback assurance program will further boost the vehicle’s resale value. Spy shots indicate design changes like a closed-off grille, aero-optimized alloy wheels, and a charging flap on the left front fender.
Inside, the Kia Syros EV is expected to get EV-specific software updates, along with vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) capabilities. This electric SUV aims to set a new benchmark in its category with its long range and robust warranty.
