Bottle gourd paneer tikki: Kid-friendly protein snack

Bottle gourd paneer tikki: Kid-friendly protein snack. This innovative recipe transforms the often-disliked lauki into a delicious, high-protein dish that even picky eaters will enjoy. Fitness coach Nidhi Gupta shared her recipe on July 10, promising it will make anyone fall in love with this vegetable.

The tikkis are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with protein. They require very little oil, making them a healthy option for breakfast, snacks, or a light dinner. Each serving of two tikkis offers approximately 240 calories, 17-18 grams of protein, 16 grams of carbohydrates, and 11 grams of fat.

To make about 8-10 tikkis, combine 300 grams of grated bottle gourd (with excess water squeezed out), 200 grams of grated low-fat paneer, 50 grams of besan, and 30 grams of soy flour to boost protein. Add one finely chopped onion, a quarter cup of chopped capsicum, two green chilies, one teaspoon each of cumin and red chili powder, one tablespoon of white sesame seeds, salt to taste, and two tablespoons of chopped coriander. Mix well, then shape into tikkis.

Cook the tikkis in a greased pan until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Serve with green chutney or your favorite condiment. This bottle gourd paneer tikki is a simple, tasty way to sneak in vegetables while enjoying a protein-rich snack. Perfect after a long day or a workout.
