Crispy Karela Chips Recipe: Celebrity chef and MasterChef India judge Kunal Kapur shared a creative way to make bitter gourd enjoyable for children. On July 16, he posted a video on Instagram showing how to turn karela into crispy chips, aiming to solve the common dinner table conflict over this vegetable. The recipe promises a crunchy, lightly spiced snack that even picky eaters might love.

The ingredients for this crispy karela chips recipe are simple: 1-2 karelas, salt, lemon, black salt, turmeric, chili powder, amchur powder, cornstarch, gram flour, and oil for frying. First, cut the karelas in half, remove seeds, and slice into thin rings. Sprinkle salt, squeeze lemon juice, and let them rest for 30 minutes. Then, wash the slices in cold water, pat them dry, and coat with a mixture of black salt, turmeric, chili powder, amchur, cornstarch, and gram flour.

For cooking, heat a flat pan with oil and place the coated karela slices one by one. Cook until both sides turn crispy and brown. Serve with your favorite dip, garnished with fresh coriander. Chef Kapur emphasized that these crispy karela chips are perfectly crunchy, lightly spiced, and incredibly satisfying, making them a healthy snack or tasty side dish.
