Urea app: Farmers in Ellareddypet face booking woes as a major digital hurdle disrupts fertilizer access. Despite repeated attempts and a new update, the app remains non-functional, forcing local growers to abandon their fields and seek help from agricultural officials. The issue has caused significant delays in providing essential nutrients to crops, sparking widespread frustration across the region.
In Ellareddypet mandal of Rajanna Sirisilla district, farmers have reported persistent technical glitches with the Urea app. On Thursday morning, a farmer named Babu from Dumala, alongside two others, started trying to book fertilizer from 5:30 am, but the app would not open no matter how many times they pressed their phones. They had installed the updated version on all their devices, yet the problem persisted, leaving them with no option but to visit the agricultural officer’s office repeatedly.
The technical errors have created a severe inconvenience, with farmers like Babu expressing great impatience. Two days ago, social media advisories urged growers to use a new version of the Urea app, but even after the update, booking remains impossible. Agricultural officials have failed to provide a proper solution, deepening the disappointment among the farming community. The delays in fertilizer supply are impacting crop health, forcing farmers to neglect their daily work and waste time traveling to government offices.
The recurrent failures of the Urea app highlight the urgent need for a reliable digital system. Farmers want local authorities to address these glitches quickly and offer a straightforward solution. Without immediate improvements, the digital tool meant to simplify their work continues to be a source of stress and lost productivity.
