Jagan’s sensation: Ex-CM blames police in suicide case. Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made a dramatic visit to the family of Kranti Kumar, a taxi driver who allegedly died by suicide due to police harassment in Vijayawada. Jagan’s sensation erupted as he accused the police system of driving Kranti to his death, calling it a rotten state of affairs in the capital region.

Kranti Kumar, son of MMRPS state president Namrapogu Venkateswara Rao, was reportedly harassed by former CI of Krishna Lanka, Nagaraju, who constantly called him to the station and subjected him to mental and physical torture. Jagan’s sensation highlighted that despite Venkateswara Rao presenting his son’s death certificate to authorities before his death, no action was taken. Jagan blamed everyone from the Chief Minister to the DGP and Home Minister, alleging a police racket running in the capital.

During his emotional visit, Jagan paid homage to Kranti’s portrait and expressed grief over the family’s struggle, noting they lived with three children while driving a taxi. He claimed evidence was being destroyed to water down the case, creating serious distrust in the judicial system. Jagan demanded a comprehensive inquiry into the incident, insisting that law and order in Vijayawada had deteriorated drastically.

This Jagan’s sensation exposes a crisis in the state’s police system. The case underscores the need for accountability, as the former CM called for punishment of those responsible. It reveals a troubling breakdown in trust, urging authorities to address the systemic issues plaguing Andhra Pradesh.
