2026 Renault Kwid: New Variants, Fresh Pricing has been officially launched in India with a starting price of Rs 4.53 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2026 Renault Kwid now comes in just two trims—Evolution and Climber—offered with both 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options. Renault has discontinued the earlier Authentic and Techno variants as part of this update. While the new base price is Rs 22,000 higher than before, the Evolution and Climber trims are priced up to Rs 32,000 lower than their predecessors. Renault is also offering a dealer-fitted CNG kit for manual variants at Rs 70,450, backed by a three-year or 1 lakh km warranty.
Visually, the 2026 Renault Kwid features new three-dimensional Renault badges, revised dual-tone wheel covers, and updated tailgate lettering in silver. Inside, the hatchback gets a redesigned three-spoke steering wheel borrowed from the Renault Kiger, with integrated infotainment controls. Equipment includes an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a semi-digital instrument cluster, manual air conditioning, and black fabric upholstery with yellow accents. Safety features vary by trim—Evolution gets dual airbags, while Climber offers six airbags, along with TPMS, rear parking camera with sensors, ABS with EBD, and hill start assist on AMT variants.
Under the hood, the 2026 Renault Kwid continues with the same 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine producing 69 HP and 92.5 Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. The hatchback competes in the entry-level segment against rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 and S-Presso.
Alongside the Kwid launch, Renault outlined plans to introduce 12 product-related updates in India over the next 18 months, including model refreshes and new launches. Four of these initiatives are scheduled for the remainder of 2026. The 2026 Renault Kwid continues to offer a refreshed design and simplified lineup at a competitive price, making it a practical choice for budget-conscious buyers.
