Punjab Youth Run 2026: Mohali Marathon Unites Against Drugs, drawing hundreds of participants to a vibrant event aimed at promoting fitness and a drug-free lifestyle. The marathon, organized by the youth wing of the A party, took place on Sunday in Mohali under the state government’s anti-drug campaign. Party leaders and MLAs were present to encourage the crowd, emphasizing that regular physical activity is the key to building a healthier society.

The Punjab Youth Run 2026 commenced from Gurdwara Sri Amb Sahib, attracting a diverse group of attendees. The participants included youngsters, sportspersons, women, senior citizens, and people from various regions across Punjab. Manjinder Singh Lalpura, the youth wing president and MLA, thanked everyone for their overwhelming response. He stated that the large turnout shows the people of Punjab want a healthy and drug-free state, clarifying that the event was not political but an initiative for the people.

During the event, leaders highlighted the government’s growing focus on sports infrastructure. MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer pointed out that the sports budget has surged from roughly ₹150 crore to about ₹1,800 crore. He urged participants not to view the Punjab Youth Run 2026 as a one-day affair, but to integrate walking and exercise into their daily routines. Other leaders, including Malvinder Singh Kang, echoed this sentiment, stressing that initiatives like this are crucial for steering youth away from drugs.

Looking ahead, similar marathons under the ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ campaign are planned for Amritsar, Patiala, Bathinda, and Ludhiana. The goal is to spread the message of fitness and sports across every corner of the state. Events like the Punjab Youth Run 2026 are proving to be a powerful platform to inspire a collective movement towards a stronger, healthier, and drug-free Punjab.
