In a couple of days, Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey will hit the big screens. Popular Hollywood website Deadline predicts that The Odyssey is tracking for a global opening weekend of over $200 million, keeping it in contention to become Nolan’s biggest opener among his non-Batman films.
The domestic market is expected to contribute $85–$100 million, while the international markets are set to add another $110 million, taking the worldwide opening to over $200 million.
For comparison, Oppenheimer collected $181 million in its opening weekend worldwide, and it appears that The Odyssey will comfortably surpass that figure. The epic fantasy action drama stars Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, and Himesh Patel in key roles.
