2026 Maruti Brezza: 5-Star Bharat NCAP Safety Triumph

2026 Maruti Brezza: 5-Star Bharat NCAP Safety Triumph. Maruti Suzuki’s popular subcompact SUV has achieved a perfect 5-star safety rating in the latest Bharat NCAP crash tests, marking a significant milestone for the brand. The 2026 Maruti Brezza scored an impressive 30.41 points out of 32 for adult occupant protection and 43 points out of 49 for child occupant protection.

The top-end ZXi+ variant of the 2026 Maruti Brezza was tested, equipped with six airbags, electronic stability control, and seat belt pretensioners. In the frontal impact test, the 2026 Maruti Brezza provided ‘Good’ protection for the driver’s head, neck, and pelvis, with only the chest and tibiae rated as ‘Adequate’. For the front passenger, protection was mainly ‘Good’, except for the tibiae.

Child occupant protection for the 2026 Maruti Brezza was equally strong, scoring perfectly on dynamic tests. Using 18-month-old and 3-year-old dummies in rear-facing seats, the SUV secured maximum points in both frontal and side crash tests. However, its vehicle assessment score of 7 points out of 13 slightly reduced the overall child protection score.

The 2026 Maruti Brezza also performed well in side impact tests, offering ‘Good’ protection for the head, chest, and abdomen. The side pole impact test showed ‘OK’ protection, still contributing to the overall 5-star result. Including Isofix child seat anchorages and seat belt reminders, the Brezza demonstrates Maruti’s commitment to safety.

In conclusion, the 2026 Maruti Brezza’s 5-star Bharat NCAP rating sets a new benchmark for subcompact SUVs in India, reassuring buyers of its robust safety standards.
