2026 Maruti Brezza: 5-Star Safety Rating Confirmed by Bharat NCAP ahead of its launch. The updated compact SUV has achieved the highest safety score in both adult and child occupant protection tests.
The 2026 Maruti Brezza scored 30.41 out of 32 points for adult occupant protection. In the child occupant protection category, it earned 43 out of 49 points. The Bharat NCAP tested the ZXI+ variant with a 1.5-liter petrol engine and 6-speed automatic transmission, but the rating applies to all variants of the 2026 Brezza.
In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the 2026 Maruti Brezza scored 14.41 out of 16 points. Protection for the driver’s head, neck, and pelvis was rated ‘good’, while the chest and tibiae received an ‘adequate’ rating. For the front passenger, all major body regions received ‘good’ protection except the tibiae. The SUV achieved a perfect 16 out of 16 points in the side movable deformable barrier test, with ‘good’ protection for head, chest, abdomen, and pelvis.
For child occupant safety, the 2026 Brezza recorded a maximum 24 out of 24 points in the dynamic assessment and a full 12 out of 12 points for child restraint system installation. The tested variant included six airbags, electronic stability control, and ISOFIX anchorages. Bharat NCAP confirmed the safety rating applies across the entire model range.
With this five-star Bharat NCAP result, the 2026 Maruti Brezza joins the top-ranked compact SUVs in India’s domestic crash safety program.
