BCCI bids farewell to Ryan ten Doeschate, T Dilip: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has officially thanked both coaches as their tenures with the men’s team concluded, marking the end of a significant chapter in the side’s support staff. The BCCI acknowledged their hard work and commitment behind the scenes, contributing to the team’s recent successes on the international stage.
As part of the coaching group led by Gautam Gambhir, Ryan ten Doeschate played a key role in India’s triumphs, including the 2025 Asia Cup title and the successful defence of the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup crown. However, his stint also witnessed mixed results in Test cricket, with series losses in Australia and at home against New Zealand and South Africa. The former Netherlands captain has now moved on to become Kolkata Knight Riders’ Head of Cricket Strategy.
T Dilip, who served as fielding coach, oversaw a noticeable rise in India’s fielding standards. His tenure included the popular ‘Best Fielder of the Match’ medal tradition introduced during the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup, which became a fan favourite. Dilip’s second spell ended after his one-year contract expired, having previously worked with the team from 2021 until the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
