BWF World Championships organizers are confident that the past distractions, which even included a monkey entering the stands and matches halted by bird droppings, are firmly in the rearview mirror. BAI Secretary General Sanjay Mishra stated that every complaint from players has been addressed. He confirmed that the facility has been completely refurbished, with new walls, floors, and toilets. Furthermore, international lighting experts from Malaysia have been brought in to ensure the arena meets the highest standards, pending final BWF inspection.
Mishra described the India Open as a test event that exposed the shortcomings, allowing the BAI to fix them in time for this prestigious competition. He credited the Sports Ministry and Sports Authority of India for their hard work in the upgrade process.
