Taiwan firms: Eyeing Andhra Pradesh for Electronics, Semiconductors
A high-level Taiwanese business delegation recently met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and IT & Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh in Amaravati to explore major investment opportunities. The group, featuring global names like Delta Electronics, BenQ, and Nan Pao Resins, focused on expanding into electronics, semiconductor fabrication, and advanced manufacturing in the state. This move signals a strong push by Taiwan firms eyeing Andhra Pradesh for electronics, semiconductors, and related high-tech supply chains.
During the discussions at the State Secretariat, Chief Minister Naidu showcased the state’s investor-friendly policies, robust port and logistics network, and fast-growing manufacturing ecosystem. He assured the delegation of policy stability and swift clearances. The Taiwanese representatives acknowledged India’s rising manufacturing base and confirmed their interest in setting up units, making Andhra Pradesh a key hub for Taiwan firms eyeing Andhra Pradesh for electronics and semiconductors.
In a separate meeting with Minister Nara Lokesh, the focus shifted to skill development. Both sides discussed Mandarin training, industry certifications, internships, and student exchange programs to prepare local youth for high-tech jobs.
