Former India cricketer Ajay Jadeja has delivered a sharp warning to young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal following an aggressive confrontation with Sri Lankan fast bowler Asitha Fernando during a fiery Test match in Colombo.
Ajay Jadeja Issues Stern Warning
The ugly altercation erupted right after Jaiswal was dismissed, when the batter aggressively charged at Asitha Fernando and made physical contact by bumping heads with the bowler in the middle of the pitch.
While acknowledging that tensions often boil over during intense international matches, analysts and former players have criticized the lack of discipline shown during the high-stakes encounter.
Yashasvi Jaiswal now faces potential disciplinary action from the International Cricket Council, with penalties ranging from severe match suspensions to heavier sanctions for breaching the sport’s code of conduct.
