Kia Syros EV: India Launch at Rs 13.49 Lakhs marks a significant step for the automaker as it expands its electric vehicle lineup in the country. Kia India has introduced the Syros EV with introductory prices starting at Rs. 13.49 lakhs (ex-showroom), making it the company’s second locally manufactured mass-market electric SUV. The Kia Syros EV is available with two battery pack options: a 42 kWh unit offering an ARAI-certified range of 443 km, and a larger 51.4 kWh pack that delivers an impressive 526 km, the first in its segment to exceed 500 km. Power output is rated at 171 PS, enabling the larger battery variant to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.1 seconds.
To enhance the ownership experience, Kia has introduced a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program for the Kia Syros EV, allowing customers to purchase the vehicle chassis separately. Under this scheme, ownership prices start from Rs. 7.99 lakhs with battery payments beginning at Rs. 3.3 per kilometer. The SUV supports 100 kW DC fast charging, achieving a 10% to 80% charge in just 39 minutes, and comes with a 10.8 kW onboard AC charger. Additional features include regenerative braking with i-Pedal mode, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, and a 15-year unlimited-kilometer high-voltage battery warranty for the first owner.
Inside, the Kia Syros EV boasts a 30-inch Trinity panoramic display that integrates a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a 5-inch climate control display. The cabin is equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Kia Connect with over 95 connected features, a Harman Kardon audio system, panoramic sunroof, and ventilated seats. Safety is prioritized with Level 2 ADAS featuring 16 driver assistance functions, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and electronic stability control. The electric SUV will be available in seven variants across the two battery options, with prices ranging from Rs. 13.49 lakhs to Rs. 19.99 lakhs.
The Kia Syros EV also benefits from an expanded charging ecosystem through the K-Charge platform, providing access to over 20,300 charging points across 23 operators. Supported by more than 129 Kia dealerships with DC fast chargers and over 275 EV-ready workshops, the Syros EV aims to make electric driving convenient. With an introductory assured buyback program offering up to 80% resale value after three years, the Kia Syros EV presents a compelling option for those entering the EV market. Customer deliveries begin July 30, 2026.
