Volkswagen Tayron: New Life trim launched in India at Rs. 41.99 lakh, making the premium SUV more accessible. Volkswagen Tayron Life variant arrives about five months after the R-Line, offering the same 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine with 204 HP and 320 Nm torque, paired with a 7-speed DSG and all-wheel drive. The Volkswagen Tayron Life is priced Rs. 5 lakh lower than the R-Line, now available only as a 5-seater.
The Volkswagen Tayron Life features a cleaner exterior with a revised front bumper, chrome detailing, and silver trim, while keeping Matrix LED headlamps, the illuminated logo, and connected light bar. It rides on 19-inch alloy wheels, smaller than the R-Line’s. The rear design remains similar with a simpler bumper, retaining connected LED tail-lamps and the illuminated badge.
Inside, the Volkswagen Tayron Life includes a 12.9-inch touchscreen, 10-color ambient lighting, an 8-speaker sound system, rear-view camera with dynamic guidelines, and Park Assist Plus. It competes with the Skoda Kodiaq and Jeep Meridian. Like the R-Line, it is assembled at Volkswagen’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar plant in Maharashtra.
Overall, the Volkswagen Tayron Life delivers the same powerful drivetrain and most features as the R-Line but at a more affordable price, appealing to buyers seeking value in the premium SUV segment.
