The Jubilee Hills by-election has turned into a celebration of progress as the Telangana government pushes its development-first agenda. With over 3.98 lakh voters, nearly one lakh families in the constituency are direct beneficiaries of government welfare schemes, reinforcing public confidence in the ruling party.
Through six guarantee schemes and flagship initiatives such as free electricity up to 200 units, subsidized gas cylinders at ₹500, and the free bus travel for women, the government has successfully connected with every section of society. Since December 2023, over one crore women have used the Zero Ticket scheme across Hyderabad, saving nearly ₹2,410 crores — with Jubilee Hills women alone saving ₹120 crores.
To strengthen social welfare, 14,197 new ration cards were issued, and 8,123 names added to existing ones. Over 11,000 elderly, widows, and differently-abled citizens receive Indiramma Aasara pensions every month. The Indiramma Breakfast Scheme, implemented by GHMC, benefits around 25,000 daily wage earners, providing affordable meals at just ₹5.
On the infrastructure front, Jubilee Hills is witnessing rapid modernization. The government has allocated ₹826 crores for flyovers and underpasses, ₹6.43 crores for sewerage and water supply projects, and ₹11 crores for electricity upgrades. With proposals worth ₹162 crores for underground power lines, Jubilee Hills stands as a symbol of Telangana’s commitment to sustainable urban development.
