Manjummel Boys director Chidambaram is drawing praise again for his latest film, Balan: The Boy, which has impressed audiences and celebrities alike. Recently, star couple Suriya and Jyothika watched the film and shared glowing reactions, praising the cast, crew, and emotional strength of the Malayalam film. Their comments have added fresh attention to the movie and its rising buzz.
Suriya said Chidambaram once again showed his skill as a filmmaker and that he was still moved by the film’s emotional impact. He described Balan: The Boy as “another gem from the Malayalam film industry” and congratulated the director for turning Jithu Madhavan’s distinct story into life with newcomers such as Farzana, Adiseshan, and Muhammad Zinan. He also praised Tovino Thomas for his role as Abbas and noted that the acting, screenplay, cinematography, music, art, and sound all worked together strongly.
Jyothika also praised the film, saying, “Director Chidambaram has crafted Balan: The Boy beautifully. Jithu Madhavan’s screenplay keeps the audience constantly engaged and curious about what happens next. By blending innocence and mystery, the team has created a true masterpiece. Farzana was outstanding as a strong female lead; Adiseshan delivered a memorable performance as Sinan, and Tovino Thomas completely disappeared into the character of Abbas, setting aside his star image.”
She added, “Sushin Shyam’s music keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the first half and elevates the emotional moments in the second half. Shyju Khalid’s cinematography transforms every frame into a painting, making the film a complete visual treat. It was an honor to meet the team behind such a wonderful film. Don’t miss watching Balan: The Boy.” The film continues to win admiration.
