The long wait has finally ended for moviegoers as the curtains go up on one of the year’s most anticipated cinematic events. The makers of Jana Nayagan have officially announced that the film will hit theatres worldwide on July 23, 2026. Directed by H. Vinoth, the political action drama stars Vijay in the lead, with Pooja Hegde playing the female lead.
Marking the release date announcement, the team unveiled a new poster featuring Vijay in a police avatar. The makers also confirmed a simultaneous pan-Indian release, with the film arriving as Jana Nayakudu in Telugu and Jan Neta in Hindi alongside the original Tamil version.
Adding a sweet surprise for fans, Vijay’s on-screen credit has been updated to reflect his political position. The actor will now be introduced as “The Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu C. Joseph Vijay,” replacing his previous title card.
