According to police, Tejaswini had quit her job six months ago due to overwhelming workload and depression. She lived with her mother Aruna in Shankar Nagar, Peerjadiguda. On the night of the incident, Tejaswini locked her mother inside a room and ran out of the house naked around 3 am. CCTV footage captured her stopping near the Birappa temple to pray before heading to the pond, where she jumped in and ended her life following the Tejaswini suicide.
Aruna woke up early and found the room locked. With neighbors’ help, she opened the door and discovered Tejaswini missing. They eventually found her body in the pond.
