The story follows the familiar arc from Ram’s early life through Sita’s swayamvar, the introduction of Ravana, and ends with Sita’s abduction, setting up the narrative for a multi‑part franchise. While the plot offers little new material, the filmmakers rely on scale and spectacle, turning key moments into large‑action and emotional set‑pieces designed for a cinematic experience.
Ranbir Kapoor delivers Ram with restraint and dignity, and Yash’s portrayal of Ravana emerges as a major talking point, bringing strong screen presence. Sai Pallavi is effective in emotional scenes as Sita, and Sunny Deol makes an impression as Hanuman despite limited screen time.
