Raj Thackeray warning: NEET protest rally on July 26 has been issued, as both Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray unite for a joint protest. The rally, scheduled for July 26, will address the NEET controversy, focusing on student grievances, the police attack on protesters in Delhi, and the NEET paper leak case.
The joint protest rally, starting from Shivaji Park and ending at Siddhivinayak Temple, will feature no political flags to keep the focus solely on student issues. Raj Thackeray warned that any attempt to disrupt the peaceful protest would be crushed. Uddhav Thackeray confirmed he spoke with Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi about the rally, and Maharashtra Congress leaders will also participate.
Uddhav Thackeray questioned whether the Prime Minister should take responsibility for the police action against students, stating that while the government is ruthless, students are no longer afraid. Raj Thackeray noted that the government stepped back as student agitation grew, adding that the rally aims to send a strong message against the NEET paper leak case.
This united front from the Thackerays underscores the anger over unfair exam practices and police brutality. The protest is expected to draw massive student and parent support, highlighting a rare political alliance for a common cause.
