Nissan Tekton: Midsize SUV Launched at Rs 10.49 Lakh. Nissan has officially launched the Tekton in India, with the midsize SUV starting at Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings are open, and deliveries begin on July 20.
The Nissan Tekton shares its platform with the Renault Duster but features its own styling. It is available in six variants: Visia, Visia+, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna, and Tekna+. Prices range from Rs 10.49 lakh to Rs 18.59 lakh. Two turbo-petrol engine options are offered: a 1.0-liter three-cylinder producing 100 HP and 166 Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual, and a 1.3-liter four-cylinder with 163 HP and 280 Nm, available with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed dual-clutch automatic. The 1.8-liter hybrid remains exclusive to the Duster.
The Nissan Tekton measures 4348 mm in length with a 2657 mm wheelbase, 212 mm ground clearance, and a 518-liter boot. Exterior features include an upright grille, LED headlamps, C-shaped DRLs, 18-inch alloy wheels, and connected LED tail-lamps. Six exterior colors, including dual-tone options, are available. Inside, the cabin sports a dual-tone rose gold and burgundy theme, with higher variants offering a 10.1-inch touchscreen, 10.25-inch digital cluster, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and a powered tailgate.
Safety on the Nissan Tekton includes six airbags, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera with blind-spot assist, and front and rear parking sensors. The SUV retains a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating. In the competitive midsize SUV segment, the Nissan Tekton rivals models like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Skoda Kushaq. With its distinctive design and feature-rich interior, the Nissan Tekton aims to offer a strong value proposition in the Indian market.
