Kumbham Anil: Rs.56 Crore Boost for Pochampally. Bhuvanagiri MLA Kumbham Anil Kumar Reddy has announced a comprehensive development plan for Pochampally, securing Rs.56 crore from MDA. During a review of ongoing works on Tuesday, he emphasized that Pochampally, known as the ‘Home of Leaders’, is receiving top priority for infrastructure upgrades.
The development agenda includes constructing a mini tank bund, new roads, and drainage systems, alongside improving electricity infrastructure. A reservoir under the Amruta scheme is progressing rapidly, with Rs.7.90 crore specifically allocated for the Pochampally Municipality’s development. Reddy directed officials to complete all projects on time for public benefit.
Following the meeting, the MLA inspected construction at the big pond, stressing quality workmanship. He engaged with officials to monitor progress, urging a focus on quality above all. Municipal Chairman Tadaka Venkateshwarlu, Commissioner Anjan Reddy, Vice Chairman Koyada Rajini Srinivas Goud, and councilors including Kondamadugu Ella Swamy, Peddala Chakrapani, Batuka Lingaswamy, Karnati Varalakshmi, Rapolu Kavya, and Devaraya Kumar participated.
Co-option members Maddi Manosudan Lokesh Reddy and Syed Ejas, along with Public Health DEE Jagapathi Babu, HMDA AE Venkanna, and Municipal Manager Nirmala, were present. Under the Amruta scheme, 100 reservoirs have been completed, bolstering water supply. This Kumbham Anil-led initiative aims to transform Pochampally’s infrastructure comprehensively.
