Jetour T2: Diwali Launch SUV With 1000km Range is set to make its debut in India during the 2026 festive season, marking JSW Motors’ first product following its partnership with Chery earlier this year. This plug-in hybrid SUV will be assembled at the brand’s new greenfield facility in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra, and is expected to be priced between Rs 35 lakh and Rs 45 lakh. While it has no direct rival, its price will overlap with premium models like the Mahindra XUV 7XO, Tata Safari, Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian, and Volkswagen Tayron.
Under the hood, the Jetour T2 uses a 1.5L turbo GDi petrol engine paired with dual electric motors and a 26.7kWh LFP battery pack. This plug-in hybrid system produces 381bhp and 610Nm of torque, allowing the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in seven seconds and reach a top speed of 197 kmph. The battery offers an electric-only range of 139km, while the total driving range exceeds 1,000km, making the Jetour T2 an ideal choice for long-distance travel. Charging is flexible: an AC charger takes under four hours from 30 to 100%, while a DC fast charger can boost the battery from 30 to 80% in just 30 minutes.
The Jetour T2 comes loaded with premium features including a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a Sony audio system, ventilated seats, and dual-zone climate control. Safety equipment includes multiple airbags, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, a 360-degree camera, and blind spot detection.
As the Jetour T2 nears its Diwali launch, it promises to redefine the premium SUV segment with its exceptional range and advanced plug-in hybrid technology. Buyers looking for a spacious, tech-laden SUV with over 1,000km range will find this model a compelling option.
