YS Jagan: Silence on key issues erodes trust

YS Jagan: Silence on key issues erodes trust. The former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, who previously compared dissenters to cockroaches, has now remained quiet as protests intensify in the state capital, raising serious questions about his party’s credibility.

YS Jagan’s controversial cockroach comments, where he stated that suppressing questioning voices would eliminate such pests, have backfired. At the time, warnings were issued regarding DSC candidates’ problems. Now, as those voices have been raised, there is no response from YCP leadership. While the party filed cases on DSC irregularities, its senior leaders have offered no substantial reaction.

The contrast between YCP’s responses to DSC and NEET issues is stark. DSC, with 3.35 lakh applicants, impacts only one state, while NEET affects over 22 lakh students and families nationwide. Yet, YCP has shown no similar fire regarding NEET irregularities or demands for central re-examination. For 25 days, protests in Delhi have drawn other party leaders, but Andhra Pradesh’s leaders remain completely silent.

This selective activism creates suspicion among the public. People feel YCP reacts strongly only where political profit exists and ignores issues with no direct gain. Such behavior damages party credibility and trust.

YS Jagan: Silence on key issues erodes trust further as his own words now trouble YCP. The double game of silence when questioners actually question, while speaking only for political gain, is losing public confidence. If this trend continues uninterrupted, the party will face difficult consequences in the future.
