Hyundai i20: 1.5 Million Sales Milestone in India, a remarkable achievement for the premium hatchback. The Hyundai i20 has now crossed cumulative sales of 1.5 million units in India since its launch in 2008. Customers have consistently favored this model for its modern design, advanced technology, superior quality, and comprehensive safety features.
The current Hyundai i20 lineup is priced between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 10.48 lakh, while the sportier i20 N Line ranges from Rs 9.27 lakh to Rs 11.74 lakh, all ex-showroom. The standard i20 features an 83bhp, 1.2-litre petrol engine with a 5-speed manual or iVT gearbox. The i20 N Line offers a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT.
Celebrating the milestone, Mr. Sunil Moolchandani, National Sales Head at Hyundai Motor India, stated that the Hyundai i20 represents innovation and premiumness, and this achievement reflects immense customer trust over nearly two decades.
The fourth-generation Hyundai i20 has debuted globally in Brazil on the new K3 platform, with updates like a 12.3-inch digital driver display, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, ADAS, and six airbags. However, launch plans for India are yet to be confirmed. This milestone underscores the Hyundai i20’s strong legacy in the hatchback segment.
