Gita Chaitanya Yatralu: Stone Workers March for Fair Demands has been launched to press for the urgent needs of stone workers in Telangana. The initiative, announced by the stone masons’ association leaders in Kattangur, will run from August 2 to 18, aiming to campaign door-to-door for the workers’ fair demands. Union state committee member Dandempalli Srinivas unveiled the poster at Eiduluru village on Friday, urging all workers to actively support these yatras.

The core demands of the Gita Chaitanya Yatralu focus on the immediate fulfillment of promises made by the Congress government to Geetha workers during the elections. Leaders are specifically calling for an increase in the monthly pension to Rs. 4,000 and an ex-gratia amount of up to Rs. 10 lakh. Srinivas emphasized that these demands are crucial for improving the livelihoods of the workers, stating that the time for justice has arrived.

Many community leaders participated in the program, including Mandal Vice President Vanasa Yadayah, Gowda Society President Bandarapu Acchalu, along with Venkanna, Sattaiah, Nagesh, Ramaswamy, Swamy, Narsimhmaraju, Chandraiah, and Rajesh. They collectively opined that these Gita Chaitanya Yatralu will serve as a vital platform to bring the problems of stone workers directly to the government’s attention. The yatras are planned to reach every village and mandal, aiming to energize the entire workforce.

This year’s Gita Chaitanya Yatralu not only highlights the unity of the workers but also builds public pressure on the government to respond positively to their demands. The leaders are confident that the sustained campaign will lead to tangible improvements in the lives of Geetha workers across the region.
