Rishab Shetty: Chhatrapati Shivaji hires Game of Thrones action director. The Kantara star is set to headline the historical epic Chhatrapati Shivaji: The Pride of Bharat, directed by Sandeep Singh. With a massive budget of approximately Rs. 500 crores, the film will be released as a two-part saga to authentically showcase Shivaji Maharaj’s military strategies.
Rishab Shetty, who gained nationwide fame with Kantara, is making this ambitious historical epic on a global scale. The makers have roped in Hollywood action designer Mark Henson and his team, known for their work on Game of Thrones and Vikings, as reported by Variety India. This ensures the battle sequences will be visually spectacular and historically accurate.
Rishab Shetty will undergo a complete makeover for the role, joining the shoot after finishing Jai Hanuman. The film will be extensively filmed at several historic locations across Maharashtra. Shefali Shah will portray Rajmata Jijabai, while Vivek Oberoi plays Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, with Arjun Rampal also part of the star-studded cast.
