Stepmother kills son in brutal murder plot: In Nirmal district, a shocking case of a stepmother killing her stepson has come to light. Auto driver Aslam Khan (28) was brutally murdered on July 15 by a hired gang, orchestrated by his stepmother Anvari Begum (41). The murder stemmed from an illicit relationship and a subsequent plot for revenge.
Aslam’s father married Anvari Begum 17 years ago. A few months ago, Aslam and his stepmother began a secret relationship. When Aslam decided to end the affair and marry someone else, Anvari Begum grew angry and scared. She planned to kill him. She hired Supari gang member Mukheed from Maharashtra for Rs. 6 lakh, giving an advance of Rs. 50 thousand. She also involved her younger brother Sheikh Mohammed.
On July 15, the gang stopped Aslam while he was driving his auto and attacked him with knives. He was rushed to the hospital but later died. The police formed four special teams to investigate. Anvari Begum was arrested on July 17 and confessed to the crime during trial. Based on her information, Mukheed, Afroz, Sainath Pawar, Sheikh Shahid and Sheikh Mohammed were also arrested and sent to remand, said District SP Janaki Sharmila.
