The makers released a creative title announcement video today, introducing Nithiin as Krishna, a Class 10 mathematics teacher. Directed by Murali Kanth Devasoth, known for Dhandoraa, the film is set to be a romantic drama with bold and emotional undertones.
In the newly unveiled video, the director narrates Krishna’s story while dreamlike visuals showcase characters inspired by novels penned under the pen name Rukmini. Just as the narration builds intrigue, Nani interrupts with a simple question: Who is Rukmini? Krishna answers that Rukmini is his wife, setting the stage for a soulful musical narrative. The announcement also teases fictional novel titles like Vratham Venkanna, Garam Gopal, and Aameku Aame Ante Istam, giving audiences a flavorful preview of the film’s quirky storytelling and Rukmini’s character depth.
Alias Rukmini is being produced by Deepthi Ganta under Unanimous Productions. The project was formally launched today with a traditional pooja ceremony, and the team has already entered the pre-production stage.
