Under the new legislation, anyone involved in leaking a NEET paper leak or similar exam fraud will face up to 10 years of imprisonment and substantial fines. The government will also establish fast track courts to investigate such cases within three months and deliver punishment within a year. Prime Minister Modi emphasized that those who play with the future of youth will not be neglected, making the NEET paper leak law a priority.
A fast track court has already started functioning in Delhi, with plans to expand to other major cities soon. Meanwhile, talks between the Centre and opposition leaders continue, but no final solution has been reached on the broader demands, including the resignation of Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The government has accepted most points raised by protesters but remains firm on this exception.
The bill is set to be introduced and approved in Parliament on Monday, signaling the government’s resolve to take strict action against the NEET paper leak mafia. This comprehensive approach is expected to restore trust in the examination system and ensure speedy justice for affected students.
