The cheap date index shows that Geneva, Zurich, Tel Aviv, Oslo, and Copenhagen are the priciest for romance. Delhi, however, remains the cheapest major city for a date, though its salaries are among the lowest globally.
Quality of life tops the list in Luxembourg for the second year. Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Vienna, and Munich join it in the top five. Global hubs like Paris, New York, London, and Hong Kong rank lower due to high housing costs, long commutes, and pollution. Delhi did not make the top 50 for quality of life. In housing, Hong Kong is the most expensive property market, but prices have dropped 10% since pre-COVID. Athens saw the fastest rent growth, surging 144% over a decade. Renting a three-bed apartment in Tokyo costs only a quarter of what it does in New York.
