Music composer Thaman, despite his prolific career working on high-profile films, faces stiff competition in the coming years, particularly from other prominent music directors.
Thaman’s recent big-budget projects include “Game Changer” with Ram Charan. However, Ram Charan’s upcoming RC16 features music by AR Rahman, and his subsequent project with Sukumar will have Devi Sri Prasad’s music. This effectively sidelines Thaman from these key projects.
Similarly, NTR has committed to films with directors Prashanth Neel and Nelson Dilip Kumar. These directors often work with their preferred composers, making it unlikely Thaman will collaborate with NTR for the next two years.
While Thaman is currently scoring music for Prabhas’ “The Raja Saab,” which releases this year, future collaborations with Prabhas seem distant. Prabhas’s upcoming films feature music by various composers like Santhosh Narayanan, Harshavardhan Rameshwar, Vishal Chandrasekhar, and Ravi Basrur, leaving limited opportunities for Thaman in the near future. Although Thaman will provide music for Pawan Kalyan’s “OG” this year, future projects with the star also appear uncertain. Thaman’s upcoming projects include Allu Arjun’s next with Trivikram and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming film.
