Nissan Tekton: Rs 10.49 Lakh SUV Launched

Nissan Tekton: Rs 10.49 Lakh SUV Launched. The Nissan Tekton, a highly anticipated SUV, has finally gone on sale in India with prices starting at Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and going up to Rs 18.59 lakh. Customers can now book the vehicle, with deliveries scheduled to begin on July 20. This new model sits above the Magnite in Nissan’s lineup and takes on rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. It is the brand’s second vehicle under the ‘One Car, One World’ strategy and will be exported to global markets from the Renault-Nissan Alliance plant in Chennai.

The Nissan Tekton is essentially a rebadged Renault Duster but adopts a Nissan Patrol-inspired front design. It features a bold grille with chrome strips, connected LED DRLs, and a sculpted hood. The side profile retains the Duster’s muscular wheel arches and integrated rear door handles, while the rear gets a full-width LED light bar. Available in six monotone and five dual-tone shades, including Flare Garnet Red and Onyx Black.

Inside, the Nissan Tekton offers a modern cabin with a 10.1-inch touchscreen supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, alongside a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Premium features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a six-speaker Arkamys sound system, and dual-zone climate control. Safety is a priority, with six airbags, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, and Level 2 ADAS.

Powering the Nissan Tekton are two turbo-petrol engines: a 1.0-liter unit producing 100 bhp and a 1.3-liter engine generating 163 bhp. Both come with a six-speed manual, while the 1.3-liter is also available with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. With its competitive pricing, comprehensive features, and robust build, the Nissan Tekton is poised to make a strong impression in the compact SUV segment, offering a compelling alternative to established players.
