Drawing parallels with South Korea’s economic rise, Lokesh cited the Kia plant in Anantapur as a success story that has created a complete automotive ecosystem. He outlined plans to replicate such achievements with more Korean firms, supported by the coalition government’s ‘Speed, Stability and Service’ governance model under Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Lokesh calls for education reforms that equip students with global skills, enabling them to compete from Seoul to Silicon Valley.
During his meeting with Indian Ambassador Gaurangalal Das, Lokesh sought support to invite electronics giants like Samsung, LG, and SK to Andhra Pradesh. He announced plans for a plug-and-play township for Korean MSMEs in Sri City and invited Korean participation in shipbuilding, battery technology, green hydrogen, and AI projects. Lokesh calls for the establishment of a dedicated AP Korea desk and a ‘Korea enclave’ in the state, expressing confidence in securing large-scale Korean investments through these initiatives.
Lokesh calls for success at the investor roadshow scheduled for July 10 in Seoul, which he believes will pave the way for significant economic collaborations.
