Mahindra Vision S SUV: 2027 Launch Details Revealed

Mahindra Vision S SUV: this upcoming sub-4 meter model from the Indian automaker is set for a 2027 market launch, following a debut by the end of this year. Based on the bold Vision S concept, the SUV will be the first production model built on Mahindra’s new NU_IQ modular platform, which supports internal combustion, electric, and hybrid powertrains. It joins the Scorpio family, bringing rugged styling and an upright stance to the compact SUV segment.

The Mahindra Vision S SUV’s design stays true to the concept’s aggressive, boxy silhouette. Spy shots reveal a front fascia with Thar-inspired headlamps, a Twin Peaks logo, vertically stacked LEDs, and sporty bumpers with integrated sensors. Thick cladding, 19-inch wheels with red calipers, flush door handles, and inverted L-shaped taillights complete the look, while concept-only features like roof lights are omitted for practicality.

Inside, spy images show a cabin balancing functionality with premium touches. The dashboard and center console mirror the concept, featuring a conventional gear lever, analogue instrument cluster with a multi-information display, and fabric seats. Higher trims will likely add a large touchscreen, smartphone connectivity, and driver-assistance systems, elevating the Mahindra Vision S SUV beyond its budget roots.

Under the hood, the production Mahindra Vision S SUV may borrow the XUV 3XO’s 1.5-litre diesel engine, with petrol and hybrid options expected later. Its NU_IQ platform could also enable an all-electric variant in the future. By blending the Scorpio’s tough DNA with modern versatility, this SUV promises style, efficiency, and innovation, making it a compelling choice for 2027.
