262 ETV Win is set to launch a new series called Gurthukosthunnayi, starring Baby fame Viraj Ashwin and popular content creator Yashashree Rao in the lead roles. The series will stream from July 3, and director Winod Gali has already built interest with a trailer that promises a mix of romance, comedy, and emotion.
The story follows a young man who, along with his childhood sweetheart, visits her father to seek permission for marriage. But the father, played by Priyadarshini Ram, refuses to approve the match because the hero had once caused trouble for him during their school days. Just when things seem complicated, Viraj Ashwin meets with an accident and loses his memory, forgetting his parents, close friends, and even the girl he loves.
After the accident, his friends try repeatedly to bring back his memories, but their attempts only lead to more funny situations. The trailer also shifts into a serious mood near the end, suggesting that the series will not be limited to comedy alone. The childhood track of the lead pair seems likely to form the emotional heart of the show.
Rohini Hattangadi, Sivannarayana, Pavan Sidhu, Godavari Gopi, and Goparaju Ramana are part of the supporting cast. Suhas and Ajay Arsada have composed the music. Gurthukosthunnayi looks like an engaging entertainer with both heart and humor.
