ETV Win’s new series Gurthukosthunnayi, starring Baby actor Viraj Ashwin, will start streaming on July 3. The trailer launch took place in Hyderabad and drew attention with filmmaker Boyapati Srinu attending as the chief guest and speaking about the growing importance of content-led projects in cinema.
At the event, Boyapati Srinu said that small films now play a crucial role in the industry. He explained that the old idea of separating small and big films no longer applies. “Today there’s no such thing as small or big films. Be it a series or a movie, content is king. If the content is good, audiences will encourage it irrespective of the language or region. Only what is being told is important,” said Boyapati Srinu.
He also said that viewers naturally support stories they relate to and make their own. “If people like something, they will own it. We encouraged Sing Geetham, Blast, and Maa Inti Bangaaram. These films are the oxygen of the industry. Gurthukosthunnayi should also join this list,” he added.
With the backing from the Hyderabad launch and a confirmed July 3 release, Gurthukosthunnayi is building steady interest ahead of its streaming debut.
