Aarthi files petition for ₹ 40 Lakh Monthly Alimony

Kollywood star Jayam Ravi, also known as Ravi Mohan, and his wife Aarti are currently involved in a high-profile divorce case. The couple recently appeared at the Family Welfare Court in Chennai, where the judge recommended family counseling to help them resolve their issues. However, Ravi Mohan’s legal team made it clear that he has no intention of continuing the marriage, requesting the court to grant an immediate divorce.

On the other hand, Aarti is seeking a monthly alimony of ₹40 lakh, and has submitted a petition to that effect. The court has adjourned the next hearing to June 12.

Jayam Ravi is the son of renowned editor Mohan and the brother of director Mohan Raja, who directed the Telugu film Godfather starring Megastar Chiranjeevi. In 2009, Jayam Ravi married Aarti, the daughter of producer Sujatha Vijayakumar. The couple has two sons, Aarav and Ayaan. After 15 years of marriage, Ravi Mohan’s sudden announcement of divorce has taken the industry by surprise.

Adding more fuel to the speculation, rumors suggest a relationship between Ravi and popular singer Kenisha. The two were spotted together at a recent wedding event, and their photos and videos have gone viral. Meanwhile, Aarti has openly criticized Ravi and Kenisha, leading to a heated verbal war on social media and in the press.

This divorce battle has become a major talking point in both Tollywood and Kollywood circles, especially with the huge alimony demand and alleged affair involved.
