The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) organized a “Thali Bajao” protest in Vijayawada on Saturday, demanding the immediate fulfillment of the ruling NDA government’s “Super Six” election promises. The APCC Chief, YS Sharmila Reddy, condemned the government’s failure to deliver on the promises, even after seven months in power.
In her speech, Sharmila not only criticized the state government but also launched a strong attack on YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. She pointed to the resignation of Jagan’s close associate, V Vijayasai Reddy, and accused him of betraying his loyalists and failing to protect those who had stood by him. Sharmila emphasized that the resignation of once-loyal figures signaled Jagan’s diminishing credibility.
Further, Sharmila accused her brother Jagan of aligning with the BJP to safeguard his personal interests. She pointed out that Vijayasai Reddy, who had been a staunch ally, was now distancing himself from Jagan, and demanded he come forward to reveal the truth about Jagan’s actions and the state’s political maneuverings.
Sharmila also touched on the murder case of YS Vivekananda Reddy, claiming that the truth was gradually coming to light. She urged Vijayasai Reddy to admit the facts about the case if he knew the truth, demanding accountability for the mysterious circumstances surrounding Vivekananda’s death.
