Astrologer Venu Swamy has issued a formal apology to the Telangana Women’s Commission after facing backlash over his controversial comments about actor Naga Chaitanya. He admitted that he is withdrawing his past statements regarding Naga Chaitanya and his rumored relationship with actress Sobhita Dhulipala. Previously, Venu Swamy had predicted that their relationship wouldn’t last long and even claimed they would separate. His remarks sparked criticism, leading the Telangana Women’s Commission to issue a notice against him. Challenging this, he approached the High Court, but the court ruled that he must appear before the commission.
Adding to the controversy, Venu Swamy’s remarks about Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita caused serious reactions from the Telugu film industry. Both the Telugu Film Digital Media Association and the Telugu Film Journalists Association filed complaints with Telangana Women’s Commission Chairperson Neerella Sarada.
