Varun Tej's VT15: A New Horror-Comedy with Director Merlapaka Gandhi

Varun Tej, the young Telugu actor known for his diverse roles, is collaborating with director Merlapaka Gandhi for an upcoming horror-comedy film tentatively titled VT15. The project, produced by UV Creations and First Frame Entertainments, is currently in its pre-production stage. Recently, Varun Tej and Gandhi, along with the film’s producers, were spotted in Vietnam, marking the beginning of their preparations for the movie.

This marks Varun Tej’s entry into the horror genre, which is often considered a safe and lucrative bet in the film industry. Horror-comedies have seen success in the past, and it seems Varun is hoping to cash in on this popular genre. Despite a series of setbacks in his recent projects, including the failures of Operation Valentine, Gandeevadhari Arjun, and Matka, Varun is eager for a comeback. His last film, Matka, performed poorly, further intensifying the pressure on him to deliver a successful project.

As per reports, VT15 will have an Indo-Korean backdrop, with parts of the film being shot in Vietnam, South Korea, and India. The film promises to blend horror with comedy, offering a fresh experience to the audience. The makers have teased a few pictures on social media, building anticipation for the film.

Music for the film will be composed by the renowned Thaman, adding further excitement to the project. The shoot for VT15 is expected to begin in the first week of February 2025, with more details about the cast and other aspects of the film to be revealed soon.
