Satya Reddy’s self-directed film ‘Uppu Satyagraham’ is based on the incident of privatization of Vizag Steel Plant in Andhra Pradesh. This film was made with the intention of informing all the people about this incident and today this film was brought to the audience. Praja Nauka, singer, revolutionary Gaddar, Pulsar Bike Jhansi, MLA Dharma Sri, MVV Satyanarayana, Prasanna Kumar, Vennela and others played important roles in this film. While Shri Koti provided the music for this film, let’s find out in this review to what extent this film impressed the audience.
the story: It is known that when attempts were made to privatize the Vizag Steel Plant in Andhra Pradesh, many leaders and activists fought to stop it. Based on these events, Satya Reddy made this film. The agitations in Vizag, the cooperation of the activists, the privatization efforts of multinational companies, the role of Gaddar and his contribution in the movement are all shown in this film. In the end, one must watch this movie to know who’s efforts paid off and what was the effect of those events on the movie.
Actors acting: Satya Reddy, who played the lead role in this movie, was the highlight of the movie. He was completely convinced in his document and did not let the audience turn their heads. His performance is reminiscent of Dasari Narayana Rao, which is not an exaggeration, he not only brings life to his character as an activist but also acts to make it seem like an activist. Satya Reddy gave an excellent performance without any compromise in expressions and dialogue delivery. While Praja Nauka Gaddar was the key strength of the film, he acted with Satya Reddy in the movement scenes and added strength to the film. Everyone knows the level of his energy. His energy is doubled in the movie. Gaddar’s role is very important despite his seemingly less screen time. He was the key strength of the film. Along with his screen presence, the revolutionary songs he wrote became a bonus for the film. The songs moved the audience and added more prominence to Gaddar’s character. Pulsar Jhansi has done justice to his role as a police officer and activist. The heroine also impressed with her screen presence in the film. All the other actors did justice to their roles and made the film more attractive.
Technical analysis: Screenplay is very important for this movie which is based on real events. The director has written it well. Sathya Reddy’s direction and screenplay are very impressive. Filming in natural locations in Visakhapatnam gave the film originality. The revolutionary dialogues are the strength of the movie. Gaddar’s scenes in particular were written so strongly that the dubbing and background score didn’t matter. The camera work is good, which gives the film something special. The music doesn’t matter. The production values are low for the movie.
Plus Points:
the story
narrative
Gaddar scenes
Minus Points:
Missing commercialism
judgment: This film realistically portrays the struggles during the privatization of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and brings out the revolutionary spirit of Gaddar and gives a great experience to today’s audience.
