Telangana: The Telangana government has submitted the RBI to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in advance of the loan plan required to maintain the state’s financial management in the future. Telangana government has asked for a total debt of Rs 14,000 crore in April, May and June for the first quarter of fiscal year 2025.
Telangana Requests ₹ 14,000 Croore Loan
According to the Schedule released by the RBI, the government has decided to take Rs 4,000 crore in April 2025, Rs 5,000 crore in May and another Rs 5,000 crore in June. Reliable sources said that the government had taken the loan in the first installment on April 8 on April 8.
These loans are used to maintain monetary flow to the state government and provide funds for welfare and development programs. After the budget is announced, every state has a limited boring capacity (under the FRBM Act). Accordingly, Telangana has made a plan for loans to its power and informed RBI.
With the pressure on the state treasury, these loans will be playing an important role. This debt is crucial for employees, especially for salaries, pensions, and funding for multiple schemes. The RBI will decide on how the debts will be granted in the rest of the installments.
