Xiaomi Unveils Xiaomi 14 Series in China
Xiaomi, the renowned Chinese tech giant, introduced its latest Xiaomi 14 series in China. The series comprises two models: the Xiaomi 14 and the Xiaomi 14 Pro, both powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC chipset. These smartphones boast 16 GB of RAM and storage options that go up to a whopping 1 TB. However, as of now, they are available exclusively in the Chinese market, with no word on an India launch.
The Xiaomi 14 Pro variants include a 12GB + 256GB model priced at CNY 4999 (approximately Rs 56,851), a 16GB + 512GB model for CNY 5499 (about Rs 63,102.18), and a 16GB + 1TB variant priced at CNY 5999 (roughly Rs 68,225.83). On the other hand, the Xiaomi 14 comes in an 8GB + 256GB variant for CNY 3999 (approximately Rs 45,883.61), an 8GB + 256GB model for CNY 4299 (about Rs 49,324), a 16GB + 512GB version for CNY 4599 (around Rs 52,770), and a 16GB + 1TB model for CNY 4999 (roughly Rs 57,365).
Both the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro offer a choice of three colours: white, rock blue, snow mountain pink, and classic black. While the pricing is competitive, the specs are equally impressive. The Xiaomi 14 Pro boasts a 6.73-inch 2.5D LTPO display with a 2K resolution (1,440×3,200 pixels) and a speedy 120Hz refresh rate. The new 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset powers it and supports up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM as well as up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 onboard storage.
Battery and Camera Capabilities
The Xiaomi 14 Pro offers a Leica-branded triple rear camera system with a 50-megapixel Hunter 900 sensor, along with a 32-megapixel front camera. The device incorporates an array of connectivity options, including 5G, Wi-Fi 7, USB 3.2 ports, and more. A 4,880mAh battery powers the device, with support for rapid 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Xiaomi 14 has similar features but a slightly different display, boasting a 6.36-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and a 460ppi pixel density, with adaptive refresh rates ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz.
