The much-anticipated trailer of Ram Charan‘s big-budget movie ‘Game Changer’, directed by Shankar, was unveiled on Thursday. The trailer launch event was graced by S.S. Rajamouli, who shared his admiration for Shankar and his work.
Speaking at the event, Rajamouli said, “Everyone is saying this is Shankar’s first Telugu film. But for us Telugu people, Shankar has never been just a Tamil director. He is our Telugu director. Shankar commands immense respect among all Telugu audiences, and this collaboration with Dil Raju is a testament to that.“
Rajamouli continued to praise Shankar, calling him the “OG for directors—Original Gangster,” and acknowledged his pivotal role in inspiring filmmakers to dream big. “Shankar proved that making grand films is not just a dream; the investment will return.“
Highlighting the trailer, Rajamouli expressed his excitement: “Each shot is thrilling, and we see vintage Shankar in every frame. ‘Game Changer’ looks poised to surpass Shankar’s earlier masterpiece ‘Oke Okkadu’.” He also commended Ram Charan’s transformation since his debut in ‘Magadheera’, adding, “From Magadheera to now, Charan has evolved immensely. That helicopter scene where he lands in a lungi holding a knife—audiences will go wild.“
‘Game Changer’, produced by Dil Raju, is set to hit theaters on January 10, 2025, during the festive Sankranti season. The trailer has heightened expectations, promising a visual spectacle and a vintage Shankar experience.
